Letter 28 March 4, 1872

“I like it very well so far I have read six chapters of it. I thank you very much for it.”

I seat myself to let you know that I am well at present, all but a sore throat. I did not get your letter until last Tuesday and did not get the book until last Friday or else I would have wrote sooner. I like it very well so far I have read six chapters of it. I thank you very much for it. MaryWilloughby has not been expected to live, but she was better Saturday evening. The baby had the lung fever, it is better too. Mary had the neuralgia of the heart. Henry joined the lodge two weeks ago last Saturday evening. John has moved over to Yeazeltown in his house. Well I must bring my letter to a close for this time. So good bye
