Letter 26 — December 29, 1871
“We had a very nice time at the oyster supper.”
I seat myself to let you know that I am well at present hoping when these few lines reach you they will find you well. We have had some very cold weather here this winter. I was at a turkey roast a Sunday. We had a very nice time at the oyster supper. Driscol's folks have got back. Jennie has got better. Mrs Sheeder is in town now. Joe is in from Kansas. Kizzie Hause was married last Thursday to a Mr Mumma. John Maxwell has bought a house in Yeazeltown where Groves lived. Well I must bring my letter to a close for I can not think of much to write this time, so good bye. Write soon
