Letter 12 March 21, 1868

“I am seventeen”

I seat myself to let you know that I am well at present, hoping when these few lines reach you they will find you the same. I have been to church this afternoon. Nancy will tell you about the wedding. Henry Maxwell has had the lung fever but is better now. I am seventeen. Lyde and Perry Beard have moved to where Mr. Levick lived when you was here last summer. Well I must bring my letter to a close for this time. You must come up as soon as you can, so good bye. Write soon.

I got the Valentine that you sent me and one other one. Yours Truly
