Dear Mother It is with plesher that I take my pen in hand to let you no that I am well and hope when these these few lines comes to hand that they may find you all well I have not heard from you for som time but if you have wrighten to me I suppose Math has got the letters I have not seen him for a bout five weeks I am detaild at the 6 corps hospital at Citey Point I am choping wood for the hospital there is nine of us that is choping and we have a tent out in the woods and we Stay there all the time I expect that I will stay heare till my time is out and that is onley a little over fore month they have been makin prepracions for a move out at the front there is som talk that the rebels ar a treying to git a way from Petersburg and Richmond and our trupes are a geting readesy to foller them and if they do leave they are gon up for we have got a larg armey hear now and there deserters say that they dont get haff rashons well I will send you my picter in this letter it is not very good won it is very hard to get a good picter taken hear and they charg too prices for them I paid won dolear and a haff for this won the weather is very warm here now the musketers is giting very bad heare well I must close for this time yours truley George Overpack George Overpack
